It also depends on libevent by Niels Provos. A slightly patched copy of libevent-1.2a is shipped with the Proxsi distribution tarball and will be automatically built and used if no libevent could be found on the system.

Proxsi releases are available as source tarballs from SourceForge in the proxsi package: DOWNLOAD
Proxsi releases come with a file containing cryptographic checksums that can be used for integrity checks.
